Dr. Tony Lin , earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physiological services at UCLA and a Doctorate in Medicine with honors at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His special interests include sports medicine care and the treatment of knee and shoulder problems.
After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Hawaii at Monoa, he worked as a sports medicine fellow at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, where he was a member of the medical staff that treated professional athletes from the L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Lakers, L.A. Sparks, L.A. Kings, and Anaheim Ducks. From 2009 to 2016, he worked at Kaiser Permanente Northwest.
In addition to sub-specialty board certification in sports medicine, Dr. Lin’s special interests include recurrent patella dislocations, massive rotator cuff tears, knee restoration procedures, multi-ligament knee reconstructions, shoulder replacement arthroplasties, and extremity fractures.
His professional articles have been published in the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Lin enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, basketball, weight training, and martial arts.
