Longview Couple Relies on Dr. Turner
William Turner, MD, of Longview Orthopedic Associates, has been taking care of Ken and Peg Bayless for 20 years. They are very happy that Dr. Turner has been there for them.
"Dr. Turner did both of my hip replacements and a rotator cuff surgery," Peg Bayless said, "and he recently did a knee replacement for Ken."
Many years ago, a horse rolled onto Ken Bayless’ right leg. Over time, arthritis set in, resulting in a great deal of pain and a loss of mobility. An MRI at Pacific Imaging Center revealed the knee was bone on bone. Fortunately, the replacement procedure eliminated the pain and – with the help of rehabilitation sessions at Longview Physical & Sports Therapy – returned Ken to total flexibility.
"Ken and I both love Dr. Turner," Peg said. "He’s got a great heart, and he’s a wonderful surgeon."

Nurse Practitioner thanks Dr. William Turner
The arthritis in Sara Derenge’s hips was so severe that it was dramatically affecting her quality of life.
"I was hobbling around with a cane and in constant pain," she said.
Derenge, a nurse practitioner at the Family Health Center in Longview, underwent replacements of both hips, with Dr. William Turner of Longview Orthopedic Associates handling the successful procedures, which were performed at the Joint Replacement Center at St. John Medical Center. Sara is regaining her mobility and no longer suffers non-stop pain.
"I was very glad to have Dr. Turner as my physician," she said. "He’s an impressive surgeon who is informative and supportive. I feel like I received the best care I could possibly have gotten."
